With support service by NZ Roadside Assistance - NZRA
Includes jump start , batteries, flat tyre replacement with the taxi's
serviceable spare, provides emergency supply if the taxi runs out of fuel and a
lock-out service.
Minor Roadside Repairs
NZRA can replace fuses, do temporary repairs to air hoses, coolant hoses, minor electrical repairs etc.
NZRA can supply parts at discounted rates, drive belts, fan belts, batteries, tyres, radiator hoses etc.
While temporary repairs can be carried out, the costs of parts and labour are at the taxi owner's expense.

Technical Advice
As the majority of NZRA support service operators are mechanics, NZRA solve or
assist in many cases over the phone. For example, warning lights, operation of
vehicle components, immobilisers, alarms, or technical advice re engine fluids
etc.
Flat Battery
NZRA will organise for a jumpstart for the taxi or replace the battery if required. The cost of parts will be the taxi owner's expense.
Emergency Fuel
NZRA will organize for the delivery of emergency fuel or transport to the closest refueling depot. The cost of the fuel will be the taxi owner's expense

Incorrect Fuel Assistance
NZRA will organize a mobile fuel siphoner to attend the call out or tow the taxi into a repairer if not available if the incorrect fuel is added to the vehicle.
Key replacement, locksmith service or courier service.
NZRA do not attempt forced entry of taxis unless requested or instructed to by the taxi owner. NZRA will deliver the spare key, or cut a blank (without immobiliser chip). Any damage that results by forced entry will be at the taxi owner's risk and NZRA will not be held responsible for any damages.

Towing
If the taxi cannot be mobilized, NZRA will cover the initial tow of the taxi to the closest repairer or place of safety if a repairer is not available.
Cases that require heavy salvage equipment for towing taxis over 3500kg or 5.5 metres in length may have delays due to availability of this equipment depending on area. The taxi owner will be informed if delays or alternative assistance is available. The cost for towing that requires heavy salvage will be at the taxi owner's expense.
Accident Coordination & Towing
NZRA can arrange (taxi owner or insurer's cost) accident towing to a
preferred accident repairer of The Insurance Group or a repairer of their
insurer's preference. NZRA will also advise the caller of the appropriate
information to obtain from all other parties involved in the accident and advice
if the Police, Ambulance or Fire Service need to attend the accident scene.
NZRA works in with Crash Management to provide this full accident service
facility.
Urgent Message Relay
In the event of a breakdown or accident NZRA can relay messages to The Insurance Group members, friends or business associates so as to notify them of any possible delays or issues.
Repair Co-ordination
NZRA has an accredited network of MTA approved automotive repairers nationwide. NZRA can assist The Insurance Group members with referrals to reputable repairers and assist with any technical advice regarding repairs.
